Vision

40 Years of Support

East End is here to support Independent retailers, Off-licenses, Restaurants, Pubs and clubs, Take-aways and other businesses operating in the service and leisure industries.

As an Independent Family Business we recognise the value of the local independent retailer and the important role they play in communities. Through the partnership with Landmark, East End Foods cash and carry can offer a perfect package to help independent retailers grow and develop within the community and 'fight back' against multiple retailers. We help you do this by offering the best products at the right prices and supporting it with the finest customer service.

We currently run three cash and carry depots in Birmingham: the newly opened state of the art, 120,000sq. ft. Aston Cross Cash and Carry, a Smethwick Cash and Carry and a Central Birmingham Cash and Carry. We offer our own extensive East End product range alongside every other major brand required to suit our customers needs.

We aim to always provide the best service, catering to all our customers requirements - speak to the depot manager about specific requirements and we will tailor a package to meet your needs.

Originally established over four decades. East End Foods plc has grown into one of the UK's leading spice, lentil and rice specialists, with an annual turn-over in excess of £180m.

Corporate Social Responsibility

East End Foods always believes as a part of their policy to reduce their carbon foot print; East End Foods has recently installed 612 solar photovoltaic array panels on the roof of their new Aston Cross depot, which will help them to generate 150KW of electricity, reducing an estimated 63 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. Any excess electricity generated is fed back into UK’s National Grid.

Similarly, the company also completed the largest photo-voltaic film installation in Europe covering 110,000 sq ft of its manufacturing facility’s roof in West Bromwich.  This generates an average of 45% of the site’s electricity requirement.

Due to continuous efforts of Mr Tony Deep Wouhra - Chairman of East End Foods in the field of Research & Development for past two decades, he has been able to produce both chillies and paprika which are virtually ‘aflatoxin’ (mould) and ‘pesticide residue’ free. Moreover, he has been working alongside farmers helping them to adopt new methods of farming ultimately improving the quality and productivity of their crops.

As part of their CSR programme, East End Foods have worked in partnership with key national organisations such as the NHS Trust, British Heart Foundation, and the FSA.

East End Foods also co-founded Healthy Hearts Institute in collaboration with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. The charity provides a free screening service in Sandwell, specifically targeting communities in order to diagnose and advice on disorders like diabetes, high blood pressure & cardiovascular disease.

Future

In future, East End Foods is also planning to build Urban Food Farming Technology centre at their Aston Cash-n-Carry site in-order to educate and bring awareness among people in the field of farming.  At the same time provide people with a facility to see how food is grown.
